Sette Colli Meet in Rome

2nd July 2018

Throughout the weekend I have been competing at the Sette Colli Meet in Rome. This was an important meet for me in itself as it was the first one that I was swimming 400IM since my Worlds in Budapest last year! The meet went really well for where we are in the season and the shoulder felt really good throughout so all positives to take away!
Here are my times from the weekend below:
100 Butterfly- 54.31

400IM Heats - 4.18.18 Final- 4.16.61 (4th)

200IM Heats-  2.01.62 Final- 1.59.68 (2nd)
Really fun and positive weekend, lots to take away and to improve on before Europeans in August!

Deventio eXcel Open Meet

28th May 2018

First day done and dusted, started the day with a 2.03.9 in the 200 back and finished with a 1.49.5 in 200 free.
Second day done at Deventio Meet, a strong and positive weekend for me. 2.02.11 in 200IM this morning and 2.21.7 in 200brs this afternoon.
Really happy to have gone the whole weekend with no shoulder problems and to get some proper racing underneath my belt ahead of Europeans at the end of the season 😁
Back into training again tomorrow evening, working on the little things that we picked out from this weekend 🏊🏻♂️💪🏻

First Competition!

25th May 2018

This weekend I will be competing at Deventio Open Meet at Ponds Forge. This will be my first time competing since Worlds 2017, with things going well with my shoulder, it's time to put it into race practice ahead of Europeans at the end of the year. I'm very excited to see what I can do considering the start of the year with the shoulder injury. I will be keeping you updated throughout the weekend on my swims.

Litchfield withdraws from Commonwealth Games

28th February 2018

Unfortunately, due to my ongoing shoulder injury, I have had to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games this year. I will not be ready to race at my best and is too much of a risk with the injury still improving. My focus has to be on my shoulder rehabilitation and looking ahead to Tokyo in two years time.

Thank you to everyone at my club, people within British Swimming and Swim England for the continued support during this time and I wish the team the best of luck on the Gold Coast! #teamengland
